چکیده
Spot blotch, caused by Bipolaris sorokiniana (Sacc.) Shoemaker is a major disease of wheat (Triticum aestivum L.), in all the six agro climatic zones India. Estimation losses due to this vary from location location, diverse environmental conditions. The use resistant cultivars most effective, long-lasting, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly technique for sustainable control. experiment was conducted at Crop Research Centre, Chirodi farm Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University Agriculture Technology, Meerut (U.P.). Among tested varieties, index AUDPC values varied significantly both years’ data viz. 2021-22 2022-23. In 32 varieties were screened against B. under artificial epiphytotic conditions field. Each variety sown two row three-meter length with three replications, line susceptible check RAJ 4015 every ten genotypes interval. found be resistant, eleven moderately fourteen five susceptible, none immune highly spot blotch disease. Area Under Disease Progress Curve (AUDPC) calculated thirty- on basis index. varies 212.90 1143.9 198.80 1144.90 during 2022-23 data. pooled mean, 205.85 1144.40, showing fast progress genotypes. It observed that different expressed type response sorokiniana.

متن کاملSpot Blotch, Net Blotch, and Stripe Disease of Barley
Spot blotch is caused by Helminthosporium sativum or H. sorokinianum = Drechslera sorokiniana (Bipolaris sorokiniana). The disease is widespread in Illinois and is believed to lower potential barley yields by 1 to 3 percent; also, the bushel weight. The causal fungus affects all parts of the plant and produces a variety of symptoms, from a seedling blight and root rot to “Black point” of the ke...

Using resistant cultivars is an effective method in management Zymoseptoria tritici Blotch and Fusarium Head Blight of wheat. This study was conducted to identify new sources of resistance to these diseases among a large number of Iranian cultivars and new wheat genotypes. The genotypes were cultivated in an augment design in the research farm of Aliabad Katoul Agricultural School. Artificial c...
متن کاملQuantitative expression analysis of candidate genes for Septoria tritici blotch resistance in wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)
Septoria tritici blotch (STB), caused by the ascomycete fungus Mycosphaerella graminicola (asexual stage: Septoria tritici), is one of the most important foliar diseases of wheat. In this research, quantitative expression analysis of five candidate genes for the induction of resistance to STB (PR-1, Bsi, Msr, Per, and Ppi) was conducted in the wheat cultivars ‘Seri 82’ (susceptible) and ‘Fronta...
متن کاملComparison of Models and Whole-Genome Profiling Approaches for Genomic-Enabled Prediction of Septoria Tritici Blotch, Stagonospora Nodorum Blotch, and Tan Spot Resistance in Wheat.
The leaf spotting diseases in wheat that include Septoria tritici blotch (STB) caused by , Stagonospora nodorum blotch (SNB) caused by , and tan spot (TS) caused by pose challenges to breeding programs in selecting for resistance. A promising approach that could enable selection prior to phenotyping is genomic selection that uses genome-wide markers to estimate breeding values (BVs) for quantit...
